After more than two decades, “Torlak” Institute is once again hosting a large three-day international training on the topic of diagnostic virological methods of plaque assay and virus neutralization test, with 18 participants from 16 European countries. The techniques of maintenance and preparation of cell lines were mastered, as well as the basic principles of virus isolation in living systems. In addition to practical exercises, which aimed to familiarize the basic principles of the plaque and neutralization test, the participants had the opportunity to visit the Influenza Vaccine Production Department and Research and Science Division.
The smiles on the faces of the participants speak louder than words. Until we meet in the new BSL3 laboratory of “Torlak” Institute, where the acquired knowledge and skills will be applied, we welcome all trainers and participants.
