In the period from April 4 to 6 2024, the XIII Congress of Microbiologists of Serbia – MIKROMED REGIO 5, UMS SERIES 24, was held under the title “From Biotechnology to Human and Planetary Health” at MONA Plaza Hotel in Belgrade, Republic of Serbia.
XIII Congress of Microbiologists of Serbia – MIKROMED REGIO 5 aimed to present the latest achievements in microbiology that contribute to a better understanding of the role of microorganisms in nature and to gather microbiologists from Serbia and the region, in order to connect them with the best experts from all over Europe, including microbiologists from different disciplines: bioinformaticians, geneticists, molecular biologists, biochemists, epidemiologists, pediatricians, infectious disease doctors and all other scientists with a common interest in the latest findings in microbiology.
Congress participants had the opportunity to share the results of research and development in the field of all current microbiological problems and offer solutions for overcoming them. The congress was international in nature and consisted of lectures, workshop sections, discussions and poster presentations.
